Pre-Release Metadata Record Update

Depreciated as of the rollout of Thoth 1.0 on April 1, 2026

1. Overview and Context

This procedure adds the final metadata to a Metadata Record and sets the record to Active, which releases the book.

2. Triggers

The execution of this procedure is usually triggered by

• Book Publication

3. Steps to Be Performed

• Update, if necessary, the cover URL with the share link from the file in the punctum PDF folder, followed by
  /download.
• Set release date for the next day
• Set record to "Active"
  

4. Additional Information

Setting the "Active" status in Thoth automatically triggers DOI registration at the DOI Management platform (CrossRef), as well as dissemination to all platforms in the Thoth Plus B package.
