Make sure each year in January Quickbooks sends out W-2 forms to everyone on Payroll.

1099

Make sure each year in January you download and send out 1099 forms to all external contractors for Editorial/Typesetting Work (as well as for any bonuses paid to payroll employees).

Tax Filing

Tax filing each year is completed by our accountant, Fadi Sakr Accounting. Contact him in January once the full accounting of the previous year has been completed (i.e. the monthly procedures for December of the previous year). Taxes filing to be completed before March 15.

California Franchise Fee

There is a mandatory California Franchise Fee of $800 to be paid each year before March 31. They are filed via the California state tax system.
